Position Overview

The successful candidate will provide vital support to the mechanical and maintenance department. This role involves assisting with routine servicing, equipment inspections, and machinery repairs to maximize operational safety and efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to qualified mechanics and artisans during routine repairs and emergency breakdowns.

• Contribute to preventative maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime.

• Execute general mechanical and workshop duties as directed by supervisors.

• Responsible for the proper handling, care, and storage of workshop tools and equipment.

• Uphold workshop cleanliness and strictly adhere to workplace health and safety regulations.

• Assist with ad-hoc operational tasks within the maintenance division.

Basic Requirements

• Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (Matric) or equivalent qualification.

• Prior exposure to a technical or mechanical environment is highly beneficial.

• A foundational grasp of basic maintenance concepts.

• Strong team player with excellent communication skills and a desire to upskill.
