Position: Junior Bookkeeper

Location: Delmas, Mpumalanga

Role Purpose

The Junior Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing and maintaining financial records for allocated stores and properties. This includes recording transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and supporting overall accounting functions within the business.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Administration: Prepare petty cash, cheques, and journal entries.

VAT & Reporting: Perform monthly VAT submissions and prepare monthly journals for joint venture stores.

Payments & Transactions: Capture paid invoices, execute payment runs, and process EFT payments.

Reporting: Generate store profitability reports and reconcile financial entries.

Property Administration: Prepare tenant invoices and IRP5 documentation where required.

General Support: Assist with administrative duties such as ordering stationery and collecting documents.


Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Grade 12 / Matric with a relevant Accounting qualification.

Experience: Minimum of 6 months’ bookkeeping experience.

Technical Skills: Advanced computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Competencies: Strong numerical ability, good problem-solving skills, and strong organisational skills.

Advantageous: SAP experience and proficiency in a second language will be beneficial.
