Role Purpose
This 12-month learnership programme leads to a National Certificate in Gaming Operations (NQF Level 4). It is designed for unemployed youth seeking practical workplace experience and structured learning within the gaming industry to improve future employment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Workplace Learning: Participate in practical workplace coaching and on-the-job training within the gaming environment.
Training & Development: Attend and complete all required academic and practical learning components of the programme.
Compliance: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and Gaming Board regulations.
Professional Conduct: Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service within the gaming environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Grade 12 or equivalent with the following minimum results:
50% in English
60% in Mathematical Literacy OR 50% in Mathematics
Age: Between 18 and 30 years old.
Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
Residency: Must reside within the City of Ekurhuleni.
Experience: Must not have previously participated in a learnership programme.
Background: Clear criminal record.
Working Conditions
Environment: Willingness to work in a smoking area.
Shifts: Must be willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays where required.
Additional Information
Assessments: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a series of assessments prior to appointment.
Employment Equity: Preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates from designated groups in line with Employment Equity plans and Gaming Board License requirements.
